Prague is a Vltava River capital where the 9th-century castle ridge faces Old Town, Josefov, and the New Town that Charles IV ordered in the 14th century. 1Old Town (Stare Mesto) & Josefov
This is Prague's densest visitor core: Old Town Square, the Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, Josefov synagogues, and Charles Bridge approaches are packed into short cobbled lanes.
